If you are experiencing any of the following, call us immediately. We are here to help.
Persistent or throbbing tooth pain can indicate decay, infection, or an abscess. Ignoring it can lead to more serious complications. We diagnose the cause and provide fast relief.
A fractured tooth can expose sensitive nerves and lead to infection. Whether from injury or biting something hard, we offer same-day restorative options including CEREC crowns.
Time is critical. If a tooth is completely dislodged, handle it by the crown, rinse gently, and keep it moist in milk. Call us immediately — we may be able to reimplant it.
A lost restoration leaves your tooth vulnerable to damage and sensitivity. We replace fillings and recement or replace crowns promptly to protect your tooth structure.
An abscess is a serious infection that can spread to other parts of your body. Symptoms include swelling, fever, and severe pain. We provide urgent treatment to drain and eliminate the infection.
Cuts, lacerations, or trauma to your gums, cheeks, tongue, or lips require prompt attention. We assess the injury, control bleeding, and provide appropriate treatment to promote healing.
Stay calm and follow these steps to protect your oral health before you reach our office.
Dial (916) 635-1191 right away. Describe your symptoms so we can prepare for your arrival and give you instructions over the phone. The sooner you call, the sooner we can help.
Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek for 15-minute intervals. Take over-the-counter pain relievers as directed. Rinse gently with warm salt water to keep the area clean and reduce inflammation.
Handle the tooth by the crown only — never touch the root. Rinse gently with water without scrubbing. Try to reinsert it into the socket. If that is not possible, store it in milk or saline solution and bring it with you.
If the tooth has a sharp edge, cover it with dental wax or sugarless gum to protect your tongue and cheek. Collect any broken fragments and bring them to your appointment.
